Have you heard about the $2 fare for bicyclists?
Whether you are a confident cyclist or a pint-sized learner with training wheels, you can ride your way to better health. Bike Aboard! allows cyclists to bike the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail in one direction and ride the train in the other.
Boarding Instructions
The train can be flagged down at boarding stations when standing on the station deck with your bike. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the train’s scheduled arrival. Pay your fare when you board. One way: $2 per person, ages 3 and up with your bike. Exact fare is appreciated. No guaranteed seats. This rate only applies to bicyclists.
**TRAIL CLOSURE**
Until further notice, the Towpath Trail is CLOSED to visitors from under the Pleasant Valley Road bridge to the waste way at Wilson's Mill due to the Fitzwater Road bridge replacement project WEEKDAYS. The trail is expected to be open, effective July 24, on Weekends for foot and bike traffic.
There is a 1-mile detour sending bicyclists onto Canal Road around the closure.
