Deer's Ears - Explore Your Five Senses!
Explore your five senses in a fun-filled train ride through the national park. Along the route we'll answer the questions that little minds want to know: Is your nose as good as a coyote's? Can you hear as well as deer? Are your eyes as sharp as an owl's? Are your taste buds the same as a raccoon's? Is your sense of touch similar to a river otter's? During this interactive program you will use your senses as you explore the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
All Aboard for Animals
Grades: Kindergarten - 3rd
Through the use of American Indian storytelling and props, your group will learn about the animals that call Cuyahoga Valley National Park home. Then we'll peer out the windows of the train to search for animals as they scurry from the train. This program reveals the natural beauty of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park while helping students heighten their discovery skills and interacting with their physical environment.
Are We There Yet? Transportation in the Valley
Grade Levels: 4th - 6th
Each new mode of transportation changes the landscape and the lives of those who call the valley home. This interactive program will transport your students to the past to explore how the canal and railroad changed everything.
Explore the Underground Railroad
Grade Level: 5th - 8th
This program will take your students on a journey that is filled with the harsh realities and the hope that was the Underground Railroad. Students travel through an area used by runaway slaves and interactive activities.
