Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad to rename rail car, honor local family

AKRON, Ohio – The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will host a ceremony Saturday to rename one of its historical rail cars in honor of a local family.

Coach car no. 165, originally built for the Pennsylvania Railroad and named the “Salem Inn,” will be renamed the “George Washington Cooper,” the great-great grandfather of the scenic railroad’s former president & CEO, Doug Cooper.
