It’s almost time to hear the bell ring! Charter sales for the 2017 Polar Express season will begin on Tuesday, August 1st at 9:00 a.m. and will end on Thursday, August 31st. For more information about 2017 Charter Pricing and Policies, please review this document.

Ticket Sell Dates

Tickets for the 2017 season will go on sale to the general public on Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. ALL TICKETS ARE SOLD ONLINE ONLY. Want to get early access to Polar Express tickets? Consider becoming a CVSR Member! Polar Express tickets go on sale for members on Monday, September 11th at 8:30 a.m. For more information on how to purchase your membership, please visit our membership page or contact 1-800-468-4070 ext. 228.

Seating and Ticket Prices

Seating is assigned. Seats will not be moved due to lack of compliance with seat selection.

Monday – Thursday

Standard Coach
$45 per person ages 2 and above. Seats are in sections of four, with two seats facing two seats.

Deluxe
$65 per person ages 2 and above. Seating in a dining cars. Seats are at tables, and are in two tops and four tops. Each passenger in our Deluxe seating will receive a commemorative Polar Express Mug.

Executive
$85 per person ages 2 and above. Seating in the lounge car. Seats are in comfortable padded seats and a spacious lounge area. Each passenger in our Executive seating will receive a commemorative Polar Express Mug. This seat section is offered out of Rockside Station – Independence, only.

Friday – Sunday

Standard Coach
$47 per person ages 2 and above. Seats are in sections of four, with two seats facing two seats.

Deluxe
$69 per person ages 2 and above. Seating in a dining cars. Seats are at tables, and are in four tops. Each passenger in our Deluxe seating will receive a commemorative Polar Express Mug.

Executive
$89 per person ages 2 and above. Seats are in comfortable padded seats and a spacious lounge area. Each passenger in our Executive seating will receive a commemorative Polar Express Mug. This seat section is offered out of Rockside Station – Independence, only.

FAQ

When do tickets go on sale?

Charter sales for whole cars begin on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017, phone only. Tickets go on sale to members on Monday, September 11th, 2017 at 8:30am, online only. Tickets go on sale to the General Public on Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at 8:30am, online only.

Can I call Customer Service to purchase my Polar Express tickets?

All tickets are sold online only until November 1st. Due to the high volume of calls; we are unable to place phone orders for Polar Express. If you do not have access to a computer, we suggest visiting your local library or asking a friend.

If I purchase tickets, and I am unable to take the train for any reason, are my tickets refundable?

All tickets are non-refundable without the purchase of Refund Protection. Refund Protection is available at check out. With refund protection, the Customer Service office must be notified at least 3 days in prior to your trip, and we cannot guarantee tickets can or will be switched to a different date if the event is sold out.

Are there any added fees to my total ticket cost?

At check out, we do charge a .25 per ticket delivery fee. There will also be a $1 preservation fee to your total cost (Our rail cars require ongoing care to maintain them. This modest fee will support the efforts of CVSR to ensure that these heritage cars will be able to travel through Cuyahoga Valley National Park for years to come).

Can I pick up my tickets at Will Call?

Tickets are available for print at home only. We do not offer a will call option. Please print out your tickets upon receiving the email confirmation. There is a .25 fee per ticket that is added to the total cost of your tickets. Email confirmations will not be resent due to lost tickets. Upon entering your information at check out, confirm that your email address is correct and valid.

Is the train wheelchair/walker accessible?

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad has a handicap accessible car with a lift.  Please call our Customer Service office at 1-800-468-4070 ext. 240 to purchase your tickets.

Can I bring a snack or other food and beverages on board the train?

No outside food or beverage is allowed on board. Passengers with outside foods or beverages will be prohibited from boarding.

Is there food or Polar Express merchandise on the train?

There is a concession car on board that will offer a variety of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages as well as Polar Express merchandise. You will have time at the beginning and end of the trip to visit this car.

Are there restrooms on the train?

There are restrooms on the board the train and at the boarding platform.
